Painting.

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 19, 2013, 6:15 PM
I gotta say... I'm very impressed with all you painting people out there...
I got this giant canvas here and after an hour, all it's full of is pencil smudges and eraser... crumbs!!

LMAO, do you guys sketch on to the canvas directly.. or just load up the brush and have at it??!

Painting people, I bow to thee... 'cause snudges and crumbs aside..
I can't imagine tackling this thing without my trusty pencil.

i draw on paper then transfer the image onto the canvas. the tooth of the canvas is to hard for me to draw on.

is the smoothness of the paper. the texture of the surface. the more tooth it had the rougher it is.

Ohhh.. yea.. now it makes sense!! =D=D=D The Toof! If ya said "toof" in the first place, I woulda been right there with you...

Well... I'm penning this bitch now, and it seems to be going alright.
Got a ton of paint on it, so, maybe that help with the fillings
I fucked up my background good too and had to change it... I might add tea, I want that look.. (Got no choice now..)

I think when it's done, It's just gonna look like my shit on bigger paper!
Not like an actual painting..

The worse part of this is, that cause I'm talking about it so much.. whether it's shit or not, I'm still gonna have to show you guys!!

I usually sketch straight onto canvas after I've sketched on paper. There have been times like when I do landscape or any scape where I would just go with it without sketching.

Hah! that amazes me... because, if and when I sketch something twice.. it never turns out the same.
Man, I wish I took a 'before picture' - it's messy.. I pressed pretty hard with my pencil and then, when I was done... I added Sharpie - finishing touch, or some shit!

LMAO!!! I'm so not a painter.... I'm just glad it's a fairly cartoony picture... which in my mind, means you can pretty much get away with murder! =D=D=D

I'd like to see what painting you're talking about is it posted in your gallery or somewhere I can view it?

No, no, not yet, it's in the process.
See, after I drew this thing out in sharpie, I went to my supplies and found I only had yellow paint - since I was in the mood, I painted all the yellow parts =D=D=D
Now, I'm just waiting to get my ass to the store to get all the other colours...

I'll post when it's done... and maybe, I'll throw in a WIP for laughs!
